Mr. Luther Smith "Smitty" Phelps, Jr., age 73 of Forest Park passed away March 16, 2022. Mr. Phelps was retired from the US Army and was a member of Ash Street Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan Diane Phelps, daughter: Robyn Renee Phelps (Paul Crisp) of Jonesboro, grandson Kaleb Nathaniel Phelps-Crisp, nieces, nephews and extended family members. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Brother Murray Edwards officiating. Interment will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Greensboro City Cemetery in Greensboro, GA. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the funeral home
