Mrs. Marian Roberts, age 93, of Jonesboro passed away January 23, 2014. Mrs. Roberts was a member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro for over 60 years, and was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald R. Roberts and son, William Gerald "Jerry" Roberts. Surviving are her children, Diane Rhodes of Tucker, Larry Roberts and wife, Leslie of Lynchburg, VA., and Phyllis Bearden and husband, Michael of Tucker, daughter-in-law, Joy Roberts, sisters, Evelyn Weir of Stockbridge and Nancy Davis of LaGrange, grandchildren, Jeff Roberts, David Roberts, Daniel Roberts, Greg Frazier, Becky Roberts, John Roberts, Lindsey Simms, Tim Evans, Laurin Evans, Paul Evans, Matt Bearden and Melissa Foster, and 15 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014, 2 p.m. in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Jonesboro with Rev. Irvin Pearre and Rev. Hinton Harris officiating. Interment Jonesboro City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, January 27, 2014, 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
