Mrs. Martha Evelyn Biggers, age 87 of McDonough passed away December 27, 2022. Mrs. Biggers was retired from Bellsouth and was a very dedicated member of Peoples Baptist Church for over 20 years, where she was actively involved in all areas of church ministry. She was a Faithful wife to her lifetime love who was a twenty year Army Veteran. Mrs. Biggers was preceded in death by her husband: Ray Lamar Biggers, Sr., parents: Lonnie Columbus and Era Evelyn (Butler) Milligan, brothers: Roland "Bud" Milligan, James "Jim" Milligan and Larry Milligan. She is survived by her children: Nancy (Jerry) Van Pelt of Stockbridge, Ray "Skip" Biggers, Jr.  of McDonough and Kristi (Nathan) Smith of Mirimar, FL, grandchildren: Jerry Van Pelt, Jr., Philip Van Pelt, Natalie Young and Jonathan Smith and spouses, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Satterfield and Brother Ray Turner officiating. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the funeral home.
