Mary Catherine Cunningham, age 91, of Monticello, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025.

Born on December 25, 1933, in Atlanta, Georgia, Mary dedicated many years of service as an administrative assistant for Fulton County, primarily in the Parks and Recreation Department. She was a devoted and longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Cunningham, Sr.; her daughter, Cathy Ann Maines; and her brother, Johnny Morris.

Mary leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory. She is survived by her son, Jack (Alice) Cunningham of Monticello; her son-in-law, Archie Maines of McDonough; her grandchildren, DeAndre (Octavia) Banks, Anthony (Carla) Banks, Alexis (Gary) Myers, and Adrian (Frank) Maines; and her great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Branon, Gavin, Brent, Gabriella, Lorelle, Farrah, Justin, Ciarra, Tre, and Aiden. She is also survived by her niece, Ann Ferrell; her great-niece, Samantha Ferrell Martin; her great-nephew, Joseph Ferrell; her great-great-niece, Abbigail Ferrell; and her great-great-nephew, Joseph Ferrell, Jr., along with many extended family members and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 20, at 2:00 PM at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, 2047 Hwy 138 SE, Jonesboro, Georgia. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM. Mary will be laid to rest on Monday, September 22, at 1:00 PM at College Park Cemetery.
