Mrs. Mary Carmen Stephens, age 89, of Hampton passed away July 16, 2022.  Mrs. Stephens was very active member of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles William Stephens; brother: Maurice Farrugia; sisters: Georgina (John) Jurkov and Josephine Beckmann; brother-in-law: Paul Jurkov.  She is survived by her son: Larry (Debra) Stephens of Lavonia; brother: Paul (Carmen) Farrugia; sisters: Marie (Fritz) Schuhmacher and Janet Jurkov; 2 grandchildren: Elya Cody and Lina Stephens; great grandchildren: Carlela Sullivan, Trinity Cody, Talisia Stephens, and Kemon Taylor; 2 great great grandchildren, brothers-in-law: Einar Beckmann, Robert (Jean) Stephens, Dean Stephens and Tony Stephens; sisters-in-law: Betty Jo Houghton and Cindy (Larry) Reno and many nieces, nephews and extended family.  A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 22, 2022 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church with Fr. John Koziol, OFM Conv. Officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the funeral home.
