Obituary

Mrs. Mary Lois Treadaway, of Morrow died April 29, 2015 in Arizona where she was convalescing after being injured in a fall. Ms. Treadaway was born on Christmas Day, 1929 in Carroll County, GA to Allen and Eva Conner. Ms. Treadaway's mother passed away when Ms. Treadaway was four years old. After the passing of his wife, Ms. Treadaway's father cared for his younger children, until his death when Ms. Treadaway was fifteen years of age. Preceding Ms. Treadaway in death were six of her eight siblings, with her sister Geneva Razcko of California and brother; Robert Conner of Florida surviving. Ms. Treadaway was retired from her employment with the Federal Government, most recently working at Fort McPherson. Ms. Treadaway resided in Morrow for fifty-five years, and her late husband, Julian was a Morrow City Councilman and fire chief, as well as operating a barber shop in Morrow and a landscaping and grading business. Ms. Treadaway attended Pinecrest Baptist Church, first in Morrow and later in McDonough for many years. Ms. Treadaway is survived by her sons; Michael (Linda) of Marietta and Bennett (Ginger) of Chandler, Arizona, grandchildren; Sean, Jason, Ann and Emily, and great-grandchildren; Jack, Sydney, Katie Beth and Mason. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015, 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Ford Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, May 8, 2015, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
