Mary "Louise" Wharton, age 78, of Riverdale, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Wharton, and her parents, Raymond and Nanny Walker.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children: William Tony (Pamala) Wharton of Milner and Ronald H. Wharton of Riverdale; her grandchildren: Amanda Wharton, Sheila Honeycutt, Rachel Higgins, James Ray, Joshua Ray, Jeremiah Ray, and Forrest Hill; her great-grandchildren: Nicholas Higgins, Damien Higgins, Cherokee Higgins, Eli Ray, Emma Ray, Maddox Ray, Bennett Ray, and Rowan Hill; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home Chapel, 2047 Hwy 138 SE, Jonesboro, GA 30236. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
