Mr. Mervin Thiessen, Sr. age 87, of Hampton passed away May 11, 2021. Mr. Thiessen was a member of Harps Crossing Church. He served in the US Army and was retired from Ford Motor Company after 31 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Sandra Sandlin. He is survived by his wife: Emilie; children: Mervin Thiessen, Jr. (Diane) of New Smyrna Beach, FL, David Thiessen (Sue) of Dacula, Susie Haney (Donald) of Blairsville, and Jeff Thiessen (Julie) of McDonough; sister: Tonya Bach of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren: Jeremy, Jason, Julie, Christopher, Preston, Joey, Justin, Jacob, Amanda, Brett; great grandchildren: Madison, Emory, Abby, Addison, Jackson, Georgia, Edie, Scarlet, Caroline, Hazel and Mason; many nieces, nephews and extended family. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, May 22, 2021 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Watson officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A celebration of life reception will be held at the home of Mr. Thiessen after the memorial service.
