Mrs. Mildred Lucille Benefield Brown, age 92, of Jonesboro, passed away, August 5, 2013. She was retired from the Clayton County Boards Of Education where she served as a Crossing Guard. She was a 50 plus year member at First Baptist Church Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her son; Jerry Burke. She is survived by her Children; David (Susan) Bartley of Griffin, Gloria Clotfelter of Alpharetta, Peggy (Donnie) Byrum of Flat Rock, NC, Debra (Don) Wells of Zebulon, GA, 11grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held, Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 11:30 AM at Sherwood Memorial Park. Rev. Irvin Pearre will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
