Mrs. Miriam Joyce Gibbs, age 89 of Stockbridge passed away November 23, 2022. Mrs. Gibbs was a member of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lawrence and Leona (Lever) Harris, brothers: Lin Harris and Reginald Harris and her brother-in-law: Ansel Crowe. Mrs. Gibbs is survived by her husband of 67 years: Donald Gibbs, Sr., son: Donny (Lynnette) Gibbs of McDonough, daughters: Cecelia (Alan) Chambers of Eatonton, Joni (Jim) Hyde of Stockbridge, Georgia (Tim) Sexton of McDonough and Camille (Scott) Mixon of Jonesboro, brothers: Patrick (June) Harris of Senoia and Philip (Rachel) Harris of Honea Path, S. C., sister: Cheryl Crowe of Anderson, S. C., 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the funeral home.
