Mrs. Nancy Kemper, age 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2014. Nancy was born on June 16, 1935 in Nashua, New Hampshire to Melvin and Josephine Platte. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade, her parents, her younger brother Norman Platte and her brother-in-law Keith Kemper. Nancy was an avid bridge player and was a faithful member of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church. She loved The Falcons and Florida Gators football and being with her family and friends. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Diane (Tony) Kitchen of Stockbridge, her son, Roy (Mary) Kemper of Greenville, S.C., grandchildren, Kaylynn LaFoy, Clara Kemper and Landon Kemper, brother, Mel (Ditie) Platte of R. I., and sisters-in-law,   JoAnne Kemper of WY., and Celeste Platte of FL, along with nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014, 2 p.m. at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in Forest Park, GA with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
