Mrs. Nancy B. Pfeiffer, age 80, of Jonesboro, GA, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015. She was born in Jacksonville, FL, the only child of Harvey G. Booth and Varina W. Booth. She graduated from Central High School, Charlotte, NC in 1951. She graduated from St. Mary's Junior College in Raleigh, NC in 1953, then graduated from the Women's College of the University of North Carolina in 1955, Nancy married Jack Pfeiffer in Atlanta, GA on January 19, 1957. Jack and Nancy moved to Jonesboro, GA in 1961. Nancy enjoyed playing golf for 40 years, and was a member of the Lake Spivey Golf Association, the Mid-Georgia Women's Golf Association, and the Georgia Senior Women's Golf Association. Nancy joined the Jonesboro United Methodist Church in 1961, and was active in the Wesley Worker's Sunday School Class, and the United Methodist Women's organization. Survivors include her husband, Jack Pfeiffer; three children, Peggy Elder, Gordon (Beth) Pfeiffer and Mark Pfeiffer. There are seven grandchildren, Lauren Hyatt, Kelley Elder, Molly Pfeiffer, Michael Pfeiffer, Christopher Pfeiffer, Brandon Pfeiffer and Courtney Pfeiffer. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Jonesboro United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. George Freeman will officiate. A reception will follow the service.
