Mrs. Nicole Michele (Haymes) Martin age 36 of Jonesboro passed away on February 26, 2017 at 8 AM, when our Heavenly Father guided Nicole by the hand to his kingdom to rest. Nicole was a 1998 graduate of Poughkeepsie High School where she graduated with honors. She was involved in several programs including concert choir and musicals. After high school she attended Howard University and then in 2000 she moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her father: Eric L. Haymes and grandfather: Nathaniel Haymes. She is survived by husband: David Martin: 2 children: Javan Martin and Jaelyn Martin all of Jonesboro; mother: Helen Mary Davis of Jonesboro; father: Jeremy Tepper of Jackson Heights NY; siblings: Eric L. Haymes, Jr. of Atlanta, Victoria L. Haymes of Philadelphia, PA, Amanda R. Haymes of Newark, NJ, Marquise Selage of Jonesboro and Isabella May Cantrell Tepper of New York City; maternal grandfather: Leon Davis of Philadelphia, PA; maternal grandmother: Margie Davis of Poughkeepsie, NY; paternal grandmother: Bernice Haymes of Conyers; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Philip Benize Catholic Church with Father John Koziol OFM Conv. officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
