Mrs. Patricia Tyler Roper age 90 of Jonesboro passed away August 31, 2023. Mrs. Roper was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Clifton Roper, parents, Gilbert F. Tyler and Devona Vining Tyler and sister, Phyllis McGalliard. She is survived by her children: Mike (Rhonda) Roper of Vienna, GA and Lisa (Rick) Roper-Linn of Jonesboro; sister: Idyll Parker of Jonesboro; grandchildren: Erin (Mathan) James of Williamson, Ashley (Rob) Yarber of Cumming, and Allie Roper of Newnan; great grandchildren: Kaleb James and Andrew Yarber and many nieces, nephews and extended family. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Roye officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM at the funeral home before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Extreme Measures Personal Care Home, 602 Cloudland Dr., Stockbridge, GA 30281 or Southern Grace Hospice, 80 Candler Rd., McDonough, GA 30253 in memory of Mrs. Patricia Tyler Roper.
