Mr. Patrick Neal McClellan, age 58 of Jonesboro passed away November 15, 2023. Mac served in the U.S. Army from 1985 until 1996. During his service years he was a Sergeant with the Military Police. After being discharged from the Army, he was employed by the Clayton County Sheriff's Department from 1997 until 2011. After his service with Clayton County, he became a K-9 Handler in Iraq in 2011. In 2017 he joined the Lovejoy Police Department and served as a Lieutenant. Mac never met a stranger and he truly loved serving the Lovejoy community. Mr. McClellan was preceded in death by his father: Nathan James McClellan. He is survived by his wife: Susan McClellan, children: Jessica (Jimmy) Caporal of Jasper, Patrick (Sadie) McClellan of Atlanta, and Melissa Stansell of Kennesaw, mother: Vivian McClellan of West Decatur, PA., brother: Sam McClellan of Clearfield, PA., sisters: Becky (Kelly) Shaffer of Annsonville, PA., Meg (Rich) Passmore of Clearfield, PA., Laura (Ron) Queen of Curwensville, PA and Frannie (Chris) Pollack of Warriors Mark, PA., grandchildren: Frank, Carmen, James and Henry Caporal, Liam McClellan, Tyler Stansell and Emily Fuicilli, mother-in-law: Rheta (Joe) Tenta of Ray City, GA., sister-in-law: Rita (Andy) Walker of Doe Run, GA., brother-in-law: Joey (Sherry) Callaghan of Nashville, GA., many nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and great-nephews and several extended family members.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, November, 19, 2023 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
