Mrs. Peggy E. Oberst, age 63, of Riverdale, passed away July 13, 2014. She is survived by her husband; James E. Oberst Sr. of Riverdale, children; Penny (Donnie) Gilmer of Jonesboro, James E. (Shannon) Oberst, Jr. of Jackson, Joshua Charles (Jessica) Oberst of Jackson, brother; Charlie (Wanda) Hall lll of Riverdale, sisters; Beth (Alan) Youngblood of Dahlonega and Debra Rhymer of NC, grandchildren; Madelynn Oberst, Chase Adams, Kyndle Williams, Bentley Oberst, Addision Oberst, Amelia (Millie Kate) Oberst, Parker Oberst, Emma Gilmer, Jacob Gilmer and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in the chapel of First Baptist Church Jonesboro. Rev. Jason Hand will officiate. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
