Mr. Randy Lamar Ransom, a longtime resident of Jonesboro, "the city he loved so much," passed away at his home on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Randy was a friend to everyone and was always willing to share with those who needed his generous helping hand. Preceding him in death was his mother; Frances Corine Ransom. He is survived by his life long partner of 36 years, Mark Robertson, father; Lamar Ransom, brother; Ray Ransom, many cousins, and friends who will "cherish the memories." A visitation will take place at the home of Randy and Mark, Monday, August 27, 2012 from 4-7 PM. A funeral mass will take place, Saturday, September 1, 2012, at 11 AM at St. John's Episcopal Church in College Park. Celebrant Fr. Troy Beecham will officiate.
