Ray Anthony "Tony" Bowman, age 76, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Born on September 5, 1948, in LaGrange, Georgia, Tony was the son of the late Bonzell Mulkey and Raymond Leon Bowman.

Tony enjoyed a long and rewarding career with Delta Air Lines, where he served as a charter coordinator for various sports teams. He was also a devoted, longtime member of Bethany Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charlene Chambers Bowman of McDonough; his son, Dana Allen Bowman of Mississippi and his daughter, Michelle Sheree Maples of Locust Grove; his sisters, Wanda Nell (Tim) Forts of Senoia and Cathy Elaine (Roger) Russell of Kentucky; and his cherished grandchildren, Gavin Lee Maples and Zaida Sheree Maples. He will also be lovingly remembered by numerous extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 31, at 2:00 PM at Bethany Baptist Church in McDonough, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 PM. Tony will be laid to rest following the service at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
