Mrs. Rebecca Anne Gooch, age 90 of Jonesboro passed away December 10, 2023. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro. Mrs. Gooch was preceded in death by her parents: Erenst and Addie Louise Steed, husband: Joe Terrell Gooch, children: Vicki Atkinson, Allen Walker, Rhonda Yates and John Stevens, grandson: Albert Atkinson and her sister: Vivian Johnson. She is survived by her grandchildren: Wendy Fordham, Carissa Atkinson, Sara Shumake, Clay Schrimsher, Lenard Simmons, Brandy Simmons, John Stevens and Jeff Stevens, several great-grandchildren and several nieces. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Davis officiating. The family will receive friends 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. prior to the service.
