Mrs. Rebecca Landress Stone, age 88, passed away, June 29, 2013. She was born on August 20, 1924 in Snellville, GA to Thomas L. Landress and Minnie Sue Black Landress. She graduated from Snellville High School. She was a member of Springdale Christian Church in Atlanta. Mrs. Stone worked as a permanent Supply Teacher for the Atlanta Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years, Clyde Lester Stone and a brother. She is survived by her children; Marie (Warren) Rees, Lou (Mike) Allgood, Alan Stone, grandchildren; Sandra Bachmeier, John Rees, David Rees, Trey Borden, Nicholas Stone, Sarah Stone, eleven great-grandchildren, three brothers, a sister and John Williams. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 1 PM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Pastor Warren Rees will officiate. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11-1 prior to the service.
