Mrs. Rhonda Jean Yates, age 64 of Hampton passed away July 4, 2020. She is survived by her husband: Ed Yates, children: Sara Anne (Jean) Schrimsher and John "Clay" Schrimsher,  mother:  Annie Gooch,  grandchildren:  Eric von Demetrius Schrimsher, Leah Anne Meeks, Lani  Jean Meeks, Kennedy Gray Shumake, John Grayson Schrimsher, great grandchildren: Angel Renee and Adelynn River, nieces and nephews:   Wendy Fordham, Carissa Atkinson, Connie Helms, Brandy Faye Simmons, Leonard Simmons, John Stevens and Jeffery Stevens, cousins:  Rebecca Johnson, Deborah Sir, Libby Smith, Carol Johnson, Nancy Grindle and extended family.    A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 12 p.m.- 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
