Richard Wilson Ballard, age 90 of Lake Spivey went to join his wife Donna Ballard of 66 years on April 7th, 2017. Dick was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 17th 1926. He is survived by his daughters Rhonda Lea Buckner and husband Eddie Buckner his daughter Cindy Rhea Howard and her husband Gene Howard, and His only grandchild Candace Anjanette Duvall and His long time friend and caregiver James Henry of Palmetto Ga . Mr Ballard honorably served his Country in the United States Navy during World War II, He was a Christian, a 33 degree mason, devoted husband, and entrepreneur. He lived a long and happy, sucessful life and was blessed by so many, many good friends. He never knew a stranger. Funeral services will be held at the Ford Stewart Funeral Home located - 2047 Hwy-138 Jonesboro Ga on Saturday April 22nd at 11:00 am. The family will be catering food along with the food prepared by the fine ladies of New Hope United Methodist Church located at 1014 New Hope Drive, Hampton Ga immediately following the service.
