Mr. Robert L. Groover, Jr. age 73 of Jonesboro passed away December 5, 2019. He was a Master Mason for 40 years and a member of Hampton Lodge #70. Mr. Groover was preceded in death by his parents: Robert L. and Gladys Groover, daughter: Tammy Groover Reynolds and sisters: Gail Groover Gaines and Evelyn Groover Lackey. He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Sherrill Groover, son Thomas L. Groover and wife Kelly of Newnan, brother: Richard D. Groover and Sherry of Braselton, GA, grandchildren: SSGT Kevin S. Watkins and Justin L. Groover, and several nieces, nephews and extended family. A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at College Park Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Crook officiating. The family will receive friends 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the funeral home.
