Robert Wheeler, Sr. Mr. Robert H. Wheeler Sr., age 88, of Jonesboro passed away on January 31, 2012. A World War II veteran, he retired from the U.S. Postal service after 32 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by parents Stella and Basil Wheeler, a son Robert H. Wheeler, Jr. and sister Jerry Waters. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Lewis Wheeler, daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Mitchell Dukes of Dallas, GA, grandchildren, Sean Wheeler, Garrett Wheeler, Sandi and Tim Milton and Stacey Adams, 5 great grandchildren, a sister Emma Campbell of Marietta and brothers, Jack Wheeler of Peachtree City and George Wheeler of Birmingham, Al. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Ford-Stewart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Lewis and Rev. Irvin Pearre officiating. Interment Crest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Visitation: Fri. Feb. 3, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Service: Sat.
