Mr. Ronald Coleman Brown, age 77, of Jonesboro, passed away, April 17, 2012. He was retired from Clayton County Board of Commissioners as a Maintenance Technician. He was a member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his son; Robert J. Brown. He is survived by his wife Violet "Vi" Brown of Jonesboro, children; Ronald C. (Sharon) Brown Jr., Cynthia Brown, Pamela (Robert W.) Stavrakas, Cheryl Ann Brown all of NC, brothers; Frank C. (Doris) Brown Jr. of McDonough, Richard D. (Jan) Brown of Gainesville, Joseph M. Brown of Hampton, sisters; Macie Brown Lewis of Jonesboro, Martha (Randall) Ellis of Al, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 11 AM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Irvin Pearre and Chaplain Don Daly will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Jonesboro City Cemetery.
