Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Gideon Cooper, age 78 of Jonesboro passed away April 12, 2023. Mr. Cooper retired from Pilot Freight Carrier, Yellow Freight and Atlanta Dash. He had an extremely strong mind, soul and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was very caring and always wanted to help others. He was very generous and loved to talk and he was a funny jokester. Mr. Cooper was a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge and his favorite past times included fishing, poker, dancing, trivia, listening to bands, country music, playing the lottery, traveling and he loved his pool. He loved the Atlanta BRAVES! He was preceded in death by his parents; Jesse Gideon Cooper and Cora Mae Hayes Cooper, his wife: Judy Cooper, son: Ronald Gideon Cooper, Jr., daughters: Mary Lou Yoh and Barbara Ann Moore. Mr. Cooper is survived by his children: Rhonda Garrett, Kristie Emanuel (Ricky) Render, David (Tracy) Rogers, Donna (Artie) Ward, Yvonne (Tom) Richey and Wanda Rogers, son-in-law: Sam Yoh, grandchildren: Jesse, Kayla, Paul, Leslie, Drew, Lexee, Justin, Cody, Misty, Kelsey, Terry, Kyair, Russel, B.J., Madison, Preslee, David Jr., Amanda, Travis, Rebekah, Stevie, Ashley, Sean, Hayleigh, Mikayla, Lisa, Justin, Chris and Taylor, and 35 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Atlanta, The family will receive friends 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
