Mr. Ronald E. Minton, age 84 of McDonough passed away January 22, 2023. Mr. Minton was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and his hobbies included watching the Braves, fishing, cooking and going on vacation. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Kathy Davis, parents: Joseph C. and Jenny B. Minton, brothers: Lewis Minton and Charles Minton. He is survived by his wife of 64 years: Janice Minton, daughters:  Karen Minton of McDonough and Kelli Foster of Jonesboro, sister: Gloria Britt of Snellville, sister-in-law: Joyce Foster of McDonough, grandchildren: Katie Griffin, Will (Taylor) Davis, Megan (Nick) Filippou, Blake Foster and Andrew Foster, great-grandchildren: Riley, Jayce, Raelynn, Sophia, Nolan and Ashtyn, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Davis officiating. The family will receive friends 2 p.m. - 3 p.m., prior to the service.
