Rosa Lee Crumley, age 69, of Jonesboro passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014. She was born in Jackson Co., Sylva, N.C. on December 25, 1944. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Lambert and Lona Melton and her 7 brothers and sisters, Larry Melton, Betty Melton Coggins, Conrad Melton, JoAnn Melton Codgill, Mary Alice Melton Mull, Frank Melton and Jimmy Melton and is survived by 14 nieces and nephews. Rosa Lee graduated Waynesville High School, Waynesville, N.C. in 1963 and later graduated with a degree in cosmetology, experiencing a long and rewarding career in her chosen profession of Hair Stylist. She was a member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro and served many years in her community as a volunteer for the Juvenile Court of Clayton County Judicial Citizen Review Panel. She was strongly committed to the preservation and protection of children and family. Rosa Lee will be loved and missed by her family as well as the many whose lives she touched, and will be remembered as a woman of great faith and for her love of the Lord Jesus Christ. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 in the Chapel of First Baptist Jonesboro, 128 College St. Jonesboro, GA 30236, with Rev. Irvin Pearre officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service between 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church Jonesboro, P.O. Box 773, Jonesboro, GA 30237.
