Mr. S. Truett Cathy, age 93, of Hampton, GA, passed away, September 8, 2014. He was the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Chick-Fil-A. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jeannette McNeil Cathy; children and spouses, Dan T. (Rhonda) Cathy, Don "Bubba" (Cindy) Cathy, Trudy Cathy (John) White; 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He will lie in state from 12 Noon till 1:30 PM the day of the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 4 PM till 7 PM at First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, 147 Church Street, Jonesboro, GA 30236. Interment will be private.
