Mrs. Sarah C. Wood, age 93 of Cumming passed away October 3, 2016. Mrs. Wood was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband: Bernard S. Wood and son: Robert Acton Wood. She is survived by her son: Bernard Thomas Wood and wife Martha of Cumming, sister: Annie Lou Lewis of Newnan, grandchildren: Christine Bourque of Sharpsburg and Sarah Curry of N.C., 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016, at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Irvin Pearre officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, October 7, 2016, 1p.m until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
