In Loving Memory of Sherry Hepler Coursey

July 1, 1955 – September 25, 2026

Mrs. Sherry Hepler Coursey, age 71, of Hampton, Georgia, passed away on September 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sherry was born on July 1, 1955, to the late Robert and Bea Hepler. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and to those who loved her most, simply “Nanny.”

Sherry had a loving, free-spirited soul and a special place in her heart for cats. She carried a little bit of that hippie spirit with her throughout her life and had a way of being uniquely and unapologetically herself. Above all else, she loved her family deeply. Being Nanny was one of the greatest parts of her life, and the love she gave her family will continue through the generations she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Coursey, Jr.; her parents, Robert and Bea Hepler; her mother-in-law, Barbara Coursey; and her grandson, Alex Cruz.

She is survived by her children, Tambra Harmon, Tonya Bailey, and Kelly Coursey; her grandchildren, Gabriella Cruz, Jarreth Smith, Ryan Harmon, Deven Harmon, Victoria Harmon, Julian Cruz, Tanner Bailey, and T.J. Bailey; seven great-grandchildren, with another precious great-grandchild on the way; as well as many other family members and loved ones who will carry her memory with them.

Sherry’s life will be remembered not simply by the years she lived, but by the family she loved, the memories she created, and the generations that will continue to carry pieces of her with them.

To her family, she will always be Nanny—a name that will forever mean love, family, and home.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Ford Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

A Celebration of Life Service honoring Sherry’s life and memory will be announced at a later date.
