Mrs. Shirley M. May, age 78, of Stockbridge passed away August 23, 2021. Mrs. May worked in healthcare as a CNA and she loved to read. She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard May; children: Rebecca Collins and James Collins; grandchildren: Alecia May and Tommy Blessitt. She is survived by her children: Allen Collins of Stockbridge, Laurie (Audie) Wright of IL, Richard May of Hogansville, Shirley (Steve) Purl of Stockbridge and many step children; step-brother: Robert (Marie) Smith of CO; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
