Steven Wesley Goolsby, age 68, of Oakwood, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025.

Born on July 6, 1957, in Albany, Georgia, Steven was the son of the late Martha Jannie Orr and Roger Jefferson Goolsby. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edna Joyce Goolsby.

Steven worked as a private home inspector for over 25 years. He made an impact on everyone he met and never met a stranger. He often reminded his children to "Keep the Faith," words that will continue to guide them throughout their lives.

Steven is lovingly remembered by his children: Christy Goolsby Anderson of Panama City Beach, Florida; Jonathan Goolsby of Oakwood, Georgia; and Melissa Goolsby of Jupiter, Florida. He is also survived by his sister, Suzette Goolsby; his cherished grandson, Wyatt Anderson; stepmother, Juanita Goolsby and his faithful grand-dog, Piper. Steven leaves behind a host of extended family and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. Following the service, Steven will be laid to rest at Berea Cemetery.
