Mrs. Tawana Goss Tarno, age 64 of Morrow went home to be with her Lord on December 6, 2023. Tawana was the Executive Director of Calvary Refuge Homeless Shelter in Forest Park and a longtime member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her father: SFC (Ret) Thomas E. Goss, Jr. Tawana is survived by her husband of 43 years: Bradley J. Tarno, sons: J. Brock Tarno of Ellenwood and S. Caleb (Robin) Tarno of Locust Grove, daughter: Shalaine (Jacob) Roland of Peachtree City, mother: Gladys Goss of Woodbury, Ga., brothers: Lonnie (Pat) Goss of Smiths Station, AL., and Tony (Carolyn) Goss of Alexander City, AL., grandchildren: Cason Miles Tarno, Cole-Man Tarno, Haven Roland, Henley Roland, Bradley Roland and Aleena "Jolene" Roland, several nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews and extended family members. Funeral Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Chapel of First Baptist Church Jonesboro with Rev. Anthony Mann officiating. Interment services will be held at 11 a.m. C.S.T. Friday, December 15, 2023, at Hillview Memorial Park in Alexander City, AL. The family will receive friends, loved ones and community members from 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the funeral home.
