Teresa Lewis Henderson, 65, of Atlanta, GA, passed away with her husband by her side and surrounded by an unwavering support system of family and friends on October 9, 2024. Born on May 31, 1959, to the late Henrietta and Andrew Lewis of Jonesboro, Teresa touched the lives of all who knew her with her generous spirit, infectious laughter, and unforgettable Southern charm.

A graduate of Woodward Academy's Class of 1977, Teresa was a proud Vintage Eagle and continued her support of the school by serving as President of the Alumni Board. Her leadership extended into various communities as President of the YMCA Board in Newnan and the Lost Valley Neighborhood Association. Teresa's unwavering commitment to her family and community was also reflected in her work with the family-owned Andy Lewis Chevrolet Jeep and Andy Lewis Dodge, and her contributions to Henderson Auto World. While attending the University of Georgia, Teresa was an active member of the Kappa Delta Sorority - Sigma Phi chapter. She later graduated from Wesleyan University.

Her greatest joy in life was her family, and nothing made her happier than being "GiGi" to her two grandchildren, Colette and Lewis. Her ability to balance a successful professional life with her deep devotion to family and friends was a testament to her strength, perseverance, and immense love for others.

Teresa will be remembered as a woman of extraordinary grace and generosity, always ready to offer a helping hand or share a warm smile. Her legacy lives on in her cherished family and the countless lives she touched.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Brian; her son, Blake; daughter-in-law, Laura Alice; and her two grandchildren, Colette and Lewis, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her brother, Andy Lewis, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Teresa will forever remain in our hearts as a guiding light, a source of comfort, and an example of a life well-lived.

A celebration of Teresa Lewis Henderson's life will be held on Saturday, October 12, at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The family will host a visitation at 10:00 a.m., with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Teresa will be laid to rest at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens following the service. A celebration of life reception will follow from 1:30-4:00 p.m. at the Woodward Academy Ann & Ben Johnson '61 Center, located at 1705 Rugby Avenue, College Park, GA, where all who knew and loved her are invited to honor her memory.
