Mr. Terry Bentley, age 78 of Jonesboro passed away August 10, 2017. He was a member of First Baptist Church Jonesboro for 50 years, he served in the US Air Force and retired from Civil Service. Surviving are his wife: Anne Bentley, daughter: Cindy Benefield and husband Jason of Cartersville, son: David Bentley and wife Carol of Jonesboro, brothers: James L. Bentley and wife Laurie of Jekyll Island and Phillip N. Bentley and wife Barbara of Oxford, sister: Sally Hinkle of Panama City Beach, FL, grandchildren: Haley Minesinger and husband Conner, Beau Benefield, Jack Benefield, Katherine Wilson and husband Charles, and Genesis Deras, great-grandchildren: Kaden Wilson and Violet Deras and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Jonesboro with Rev. Irvin Pearre officiating. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at the funeral home.
