Mr. Terry Dale Hansard was born in Atlanta, GA on April 20, 1949 and passed away in Riverdale, GA on August 8, 2023.
Terry grew up in Jonesboro, GA. and he was preceded in death by his loving parents: Q. O. and Alma Carter Hansard and his siblings: Dorothy Hansard Patterson and Albert Hansard.
Terry is survived by his children: Danny Hansard, Richard (Brandy) Hansard, Amie (Charles) Lindsey, Bryan (Megan) Hansard and Alexandria Hansard. He is also survived by his Caregiver and devoted sister: Emily Hansard Braswell, his sister-in-love, Sheila Hansard Tenny and many grandchildren, his great-grandchild, and nieces and nephews.
Terry was proud of his service in the US Marines during the Vietnam War era. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Jonesboro. For those who knew Terry, he was blessed with the "gift of gab" and loved socializing and keeping people updated on any news. Terry was gifted with an uncanny ability to work with computer and phone technology. He also loved animals, and over the years had horses, dogs, exotic birds, ducks (his favorite he named Quack Quack), and others.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Mr. Eddie Kendrick and Mr. Jeff Dixon officiating.
