Mr. Thomas Oren Gurley, Jr., age 74 of Jonesboro passed away August 31, 2022. Mr. Gurley was a retired accountant with Emory University Hospital and a member of First United Methodist Church Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by his wife: Beverly Ann Spence Gurley, parents: Thomas Oren Gurley, Sr. and Lois Eleanor Adams Gurley and brother: Fred Parker Gurley.  Mr. Gurley is survived by his sons: Tommy (Sheryl) Gurley, III of McDonough and Philip (Susie) Gurley of Powder Springs, grandchildren: Kaitlyn Gurley, Kristin Gurley, Parker Gurley and Peyton Gurley, aunt: Tillie Woodall, cousins: Bob (Peggy) Woodall and Rachel (Eric) Thomas, nephew: Joel (Gloria) Gurley and great-niece: Rogue Gurley. A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Sherwood Memorial Park with Pastor Shane Roye officiating. The family will receive friends 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
