Thomas "Tom" Leon Padgett, Jr., age 62, of Riverdale, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Tom was born on August 15, 1962, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Eleanor Hollis and Thomas Leon Padgett, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Charles W. and Minnie O. Davis.
For many years, Tom worked as a forklift driver for Atlas Code Storage. He was a devoted member of Harvest Baptist Tabernacle, where he found fulfillment in serving his faith through various ministries, including prison outreach, teaching Sunday school, working with the Navigators children's ministry, and singing in the choir.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Frances Padgett, and their son, Tommy Padgett, both of Riverdale, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
A funeral service to honor Tom's life will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle, located at 1974 Walt Stephens Rd, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:30 PM, prior to the service.
