Mrs. Tommie P. Adams, age 86 of McDonough, formerly of Jonesboro, passed away November 5, 2022. Mrs. Adams was a member of Harvest Baptist Tabernacle and The Rose Society. She was preceded in death by her husband: A. D. Adams, son: John P. Gilbert, great-granddaughter: Riley Gilbert, parents: Thomas D. and Frances (Morgan) Phillips, sisters: Carol Hardeman and Charlotte Swaney.  Mrs. Adams is survived by her children: Gene (Diane) Gilbert of Fayetteville, Thomas (Melissa) Gilbert of McDonough and Wayne (Michelle) Gilbert of Fayetteville, step-children: Angela McClure of Jonesboro and Anthony Adams of Union City, sister: Judy (Jim) Sallis of Fayetteville, numerous grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren: and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Arthur officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service.
