Tommie Montgomery Kemper Webb, 96, formerly of Riverdale, GA and Merritt Island, FL, passed peacefully on July 22, 2014 in Lincoln, CA. Tommie was born in Gainesville, GA on July 15, 1918 the eldest child of Thomas Montgomery and Essie Mae Gower, both deceased. She was also predeceased by her first husband Houston Dorman Kemper who was killed in WWll, her second husband Robert Lee Webb Jr.- also a veteran of WWll-and her four younger brothers Clint, Ben, Henry and Bob. Tommie raised three strong, educated and responsible children who have in turn passed along her valuable lessons of hard work and compassion for others to their own children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children Houston Kemper (Diane), Judith Kemper Baker, and Montie Webb Vogt (Mike); grandchildren Houston D. Kemper Jr., Wendy Lee Kemper, Liz Baker, Joseph R. Baker Jr. (Lisa), Amy Baker, Emily Ann Baker, and Kaitlyn Lee Vogt; great-grandchildren Megan Baker, Madison Baker, and Sarah Baker and beloved sister-in-law Donna Montgomery. A service celebrating Tommie's life will be held at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 2:00. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment Jonesboro City Cemetery.
