Mrs. Verna Rowan Fleming, age 94, of Warner Robins, formerly of the Jonesboro area, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014.  Her husband owned the old Bama's Drug Store on Main Street in Jonesboro.  She is survived by her children, Pastor Al Rowan, Jr. of Warner Robins, Bama J. Rowan of Ellijay; grandchildren, Renee Rowan Basel, Michael Christopher Rowan, Verna Rowan Fleming and 3 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM on Thursday, April 10, 2014 in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home.  Pastor Albert Rowan, Jr. will officiate.  Interment will be at Jonesboro City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
