Mrs. Violet C. Ritz Riggs, 82, was born August 18, 1930 to Anthony and Catherine Ritz, in Edison, NJ. Mrs. Riggs passed away, September 11, 2012 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband; Thomas J. Riggs, son; Allen T. Riggs, sisters; Anna Luty, Anne Marie Wolfe, brothers; John Ritz, Samuel Ritz and Anthony Ritz. Violet is survived by her daughter and son in law; Colleen and Ricky Long of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, son; Thomas Riggs of Jonesboro, sister; Evelyn Ritz Varchol of Jonesboro, brother and sister in law; Carmen and Doris Ritz of FL, James Ritz of CA, sister in law; Elizabeth Ritz of Edison, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11 AM in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will be at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Fairburn, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
