Mrs. Violet Sparks age 96 of Fairburn, passed away April 25, 2017. Mrs. Sparks is a member of The Village Church in Hapeville. During WWII she worked as a Rosie the Riveter. Mrs. Sparks was preceded in death by her husband: Nathan Sparks, and daughter: Miriam Ann Davis. She is survived by children: Charles Nathan Sparks (Connie) of Norco, CA, Judy Marie Rowan ( Howard) of Sharpsburg, Joy Renee Roney (Todd) of Newnan, and Melissa Lynn Bachman (Gene) of Jonesboro; sister: Evalee Stice of Salem, OR; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, April 28, 2017 in the Chapel of Ford Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
