W. Jack Cochran, Sr., age 93, of Fairburn passed away, April 27, 2014.  He was a member of First Christian Church of Fairburn.  He graduated from Georgia Tech in the Class of 1941.  He was a past President of the Rotary Club for two terms and was a 32nd Degree Mason.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cahterine Thompson Cochran.  He is survived by his children, W. Jack Cochran, Jr., Janet Kay Carlisle, James Earl Cochran; brother, Jere Cochran; grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 2, 2014 at First Christian Church of Fairburn.  He will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.   The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, GA.  Interment will be at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
