Mr. Wendell A. Lane, age 66 of Hartwell, GA passed away April 9, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife: Geraldine Lane, parents: Jack and Charlene Lane and his brothers: Allan Lane, Alvin Lane and Joseph Lane. Wendell is survived by his daughters: Tuesday (Lamas Verdell) Lane of Hartwell and Hollie (Jeffrey) Simpson of Martin, GA, son: Jonathan Lane of Hartwell, sisters: Sylvia (James) Swanger of Maryville, TN and Melinda Lane (Eric) Szatkowski of Locust Grove, sisters-in-law: Bonnie Lane of Forsyth and Wanda Lane of Monticello, grandchildren: Cameron Clay, Braydon Lane, Karsyn Martin, Levi Martin, Paige Barton, Collin Simpson, Victoria Simpson and Landen Simpson and great-granchild: Negan Clay, several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Funeral Service will be held at 5 PM Sunday, April 12, 2026 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. James Swanger officiating. Interment Services will be held at 2 PM Monday, April 13, 2026 at Salem United Methodist Cemetery in Covington, GA. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 5 PM Sunday, April 12, 2026
