Mr. William A. Hix age 92 of Jonesboro passed away December 23, 2022. Mr. Hix was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro for 55 years, and a member of Plumbers Local Union 72. He was preceded in death by his parents: A.C., Jr. and Ethel Hix; 6 siblings and son-in-law: Robbie Sherrer.He is survived by his loving wife of  70 years: Ruth Hix; children: Patti (Kirk) Alexander of Smyrna, Dean Hix of Jonesboro, Timothy (Monique) Hix of Canton, and Cindy Sherrer of Jonesboro; sister: Linda (Bill) McElhannon of  Rex; grandchildren: Justin (Leela) Hix, Bonnie (Zach) Hix Kaddoura, Heather Hix, Lance (Karren) Hix, David (Courtney) Hix, Michael Hix,  Hannah Alexander, Reade Alexander, Haley Summers, and Jonathan Sherrer; Great Grandchildren: Elliot Summers, Wyatt Summers, Lydia Hix, Isaac Hix, Charlie Kaddoura, and Jax Hix.  Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, December 30, 2022 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 AM- 1 PM before the service at the funeral home.
