Mr. William "Bill" W. Conkle, Sr. age 89 of Jonesboro passed away January 24, 2018. Mr. Conkle was a member of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge #87 where he served as W. M. twice and was the secretary for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his grandson: Derrick Payne. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years: Dell Conkle; children: Bill Conkle, Jr. (Sharon) and Susan Payne (Gary) all of Hampton; 4 grandchildren: Matthew Conkle, Sarah Conkle, Michael Jones, and Janet Carney; 2 great grandchildren: Garrison Jones and Noah Rodriguez; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, January 27th, 2018 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Martin Jones and Rev. Chuck Conkle officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 AM- 1 PM before the service at the funeral home.
