Mr. William Boyce Wharton age 78 of Riverdale passed away October 12, 2016. Mr. Wharton was a member of Zion Hills Baptist Church. He was retired from the US Army and the Clayton County Fire Department. He is survived by wife: Mary "Louise" Wharton; sons: William T. Wharton and wife, Pamala of Milner, and Ronald H. Wharton of Riverdale; brothers: James H. Wharton and wife, Teresa of KY, Larry M. Wharton and wife, Janet of KY, and Donald R. Wharton from IN; grandchildren: James & Ashley Ray, Rachel & Tim Higgins, Shelia & Charlie Gerhold, Joshua Ray, Jeremiah & Nichole Ray, Amanda & Alex Wasson, and Jack Wambles; 7 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, October 15, 2016 in the Chapel of Ford Stewart Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park.
