Willie Edward Seagraves, age 95, of Forest Park, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2024.
Willie led a fulfilling life, dedicating many years to a career in maintenance with Owens Illinois Plastic Division and proudly serving in the United States Army. He was passionate about Nascar, enjoyed visits to the Apple Barn and Cracker Barrel, but above all, he cherished spending time with his family.
Willie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Seagraves; his son, Jackie Louis (Cheryl) Seagraves; his brothers, Vernon and Harlan Seagraves; his sister, Lillian Stone; and his parents, Georgia and John Seagraves.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Edward (Nina) Seagraves; his grandchildren, Phillip Edward (Becky) Seagraves, Shannon Michell (Jeremy) Bowyer, Tara Lynn (Mike) Bodiford, Jason Seagraves, James Brandon (Sunny) Seagraves, and Amber Lynn (Jesse) Hulsey; along with numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory.
A visitation will be held at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 8, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Eric Houseworth, will take place on Thursday, January 9, at 2:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Park, where Willie will be laid to rest.
